Chapter 1: Electric Charges and Field

You start your journey with a detailed look into the types of electric charge and its fields, transference of electrons, conservation of charge, additivity of charges, quantization of charge, Gauss’s law, etc.

Chapter 2: Electrostatic Potential and Capacitance

Chapter 2 will help students understand the electrostatic potential, the electrostatic potential difference between two points in an electric field, the relationship between electric field and potential gradient, and the different formulas to help students gain more practical insight into the chapter.

Chapter 3: Current Electricity

This is one of the most important chapters in the NCERT Class 12 Physics book. This chapter elaborates on the previous concepts of electricity and helps students understand current density, Ohm’s law, drift velocity, how electric charge flows in solid metallic conductors and liquid conductors, etc. It also has numerical problems for students to solve.

Chapter 4: Moving Charges and Magnetism

This chapter develops the foundation required to tackle the later chapters of the NCERT Class 12 Physics book. It talks about magnetic force and motion in a magnetic field. It gives students an insight into Biot-Savart’s Law, Ampere’s Circuital Law, the Solenoid and the Toroid, etc.

What is alternating current, and what are the different aspects of alternating current? Chapter 7 will teach students about alternating current, AC voltage applied to a resistor, AC voltage applied to a series LCR circuit, power in an AC circuit, transformers, and many more topics.

Chapter 8: Electromagnetic Waves

Chapter 8 discusses three crucial topics related to Electromagnetic waves: Displacement current, electromagnetic waves, and the electromagnetic spectrum. Students will engage with Maxwell’s Equation of Electromagnetic waves, understand the uses of electromagnetic waves in radio waves, microwaves, etc., their frequency range and wavelength range, detection channels, and many other topics related to electromagnetic waves.

Chapter 9: Ray Optics and Optical Instruments

This is another vital chapter in the NCERT Class 12 Physics book. Chapter 9 introduces students to ray optics and optical instruments, reflection of light by spherical mirrors, total internal reflection, refraction, dispersion and refraction by a prism, and some natural phenomena occurring due to sunlight.

Chapter 10: Wave Optics

Chapter 10 will shift from Ray optics to Wave optics. It will go into details of wave optics, Huygens Principle, Refraction and Reflection of Plane Waves using Huygens Principle, polarisation, interference of light waves and Young’s Experiment, and the application of wave optics like in 3D glasses, etc.

Chapter 11: Dual Nature of Radiation and Matter

What are the properties of radiation? Does it resemble a particle or a wave or both? This chapter talks about the dual nature of radiation and tackles topics like electron emission, photoelectric effect, Einstein’s Photoelectric Equation, Wave Theory of Light, Wave Nature of Matter, etc.

Chapter 12: Atoms

Atoms are the basic unit that makes up matter. Chapter 12 talks about the organic and inorganic objects that make up atoms. This chapter will discuss Alpha-particle Scattering, Rutherford’s Nuclear Model of Atom, Bohr Model of the Hydrogen Atom, Atomic Spectra, etc.

Chapter 13: Nuclei
