Knowing the syllabus is one thing. Knowing exactly what to do on the day of the exam is another, and it matters just as much.

A lot of students who have prepared well still find themselves confused or flustered at the exam centre because they did not read the instructions carefully beforehand. The re-neet reporting time is not the same as the exam start time, and confusing the two is a mistake that can cost you your seat. Your admit card will print the reporting time separately from the exam time.

For Re-NEET 2026, the exam is expected to begin at 2:00 PM, but the reporting time is expected to be set at 11:00 AM. Treat the reporting time as your arrival deadline, not as a suggestion. Plan to reach the centre at least 30 minutes before even the reporting time to give yourself a comfortable buffer.

• When you reach the gate, you will first present your printed admit card and original photo ID to the invigilator. These will be checked and matched against the records.
• Your photograph on the admit card will be compared with your face.
• You may be asked to provide a thumb impression or sign the attendance sheet.
• Following document verification, you will be frisked to ensure no prohibited items are on your person.
• Electronic devices, smart accessories, and any study material will be confiscated at this point if found.

After frisking, you will be directed to your assigned hall and seat. Sit only in the seat assigned to you; changing seats is not permitted.

Once you are inside the hall, the re-neet exam day rules apply strictly.

• You will receive the OMR answer sheet before the question paper.
• Fill in your roll number, centre code, and other details on the OMR accurately before the exam begins, as errors in these fields can affect result processing.
• Use only a blue or black ball-point pen.
• Do not fold, tear, or damage the OMR sheet.
• When the question paper is distributed, check that the paper code matches what is printed on your OMR. If there is a mismatch or any printing defect in the paper, raise your hand and inform the invigilator immediately.
• Once the exam ends, you must hand over the OMR sheet to the invigilator before leaving the hall. Leaving without submitting the OMR is treated as a serious violation.

Speaking to other candidates, attempting to look at another student's paper, or any gesture that could be interpreted as communication is treated as malpractice. If you need to use the washroom during the exam, you must seek permission from the invigilator and will be accompanied. You cannot leave the premises and return.

Any form of impersonation, use of unfair means, or possession of electronic devices inside the hall will result in immediate cancellation of your candidature and may lead to a ban from future NTA examinations.
